SUMMARY

The Associate Scientific Territory Manager is responsible fo provide field support to selected medical facilities in Turkey, and work closely with Key Opinion Leaders, Physicians, Pharmacists, and other Key Stakeholders involved in the treatment of the disease state. Provide education and technical support to all stakeholders as required and represent the company at scientific and clinical forums as necessary. Also is responsible for coordinate the identification of patients through high level contacts with key opinion leaders, physicians, pharmacists, and other key stakeholders.

RESPONSABILITIES

• Lead efforts to early diagnose new patients via relevant projects and ensure appropriate management of patients in line with the local and global treatment guidelines.

• Provide a high level of support to relevant treatment and other relevant centers in Turkey.

• Provide appropriate support to patients, as well as clinicians and physicians involved in their diagnosis and treatment.

• With supervision, facilitate and monitor Turkish investigator sponsored studies with a view to generate additional clinical and safety data for BioMarin’s products.

• Provide education to physicians, and other key stakeholders, as required, on

administration and infusion techniques and manage the adverse events

process and cold-chain storage product requirements.

• Undertake identification and development of advocacy work with key investigators, opinion leaders and other key stakeholders, while adopting a patient centric approach. Also work on the development of local key advocates as speakers on BioMarin’s therapeutic areas.
• Represent the company at scientific symposia in Turkey and abroad.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of both clinical and commercial strategies and priorities.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality scientific presentations on BioMarin’s products and therapeutic areas to physicians and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure achievement of clinical and technical expertise within specific therapeutic areas, with review of scientific journals, attendance to scientific and key technical meetings and partnership with local medical, research, access and other commercial teams. Maintain an awareness of developments in clinical treatment of the disease state.

• Finally, deliver proactive feedback on emerging clinical/competitive trends in Turkey.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A relevant life sciences or medical degree from a reputable University is preferred.
• Excellent Turkish and English language skills, both written and spoken.
• At least 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical and clinical industry experience is preferred.
• Experience in presenting information in public and delivering education programs is necessary; along with a track record of developing and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent planning and organizing skills. 
• A mature approach and outlook and an ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Will be creative, with vision but also a clear, logical thinker.
• An ability to have impact and influence and persuade others and be skilled
negotiator.
• A commitment to self-development and an awareness of developmental needs and plans for addressing them.
• A relationship builder with a track record of developing value based effective working relationships.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with all stakeholders.
